We've Arrived!

We’re here in B.C. and I finally have time to write!

The plane ride was fun but my ears popped at the end, if you know what I mean. Whoa, whoa, whoa!!!! Let me just back it up here to……….the day the moving truck came. I thought it would be exciting and it was, at first anyway, when the men came and started to wrap up the chairs so they wouldn’t get wrecked.
The big moving truck!

Me and my brothers and the empty truck!

But I started to get sad when I realized once again that I would probably never see this house again. I felt tired, but there was no place lie down so I decided to curl up on a shelf in our towel closet and guess what? I fell asleep!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It was cold in our empty house with the doors open, so we kept warm by huddling and wearing coats!

My empty room. :-(

Watching the truck drive away...

When the moving truck left, we went to Toronto and stayed at a really nice hotel. In the morning, we woke up at 5:30, we watched some T.V., then went on a shuttle and almost missed our plane!!!

On the plane!

Aiden sat with mom on the other side of the aisle. (Mom always takes the pictures, so she's not on any of them!)

Anyway, as I was saying before, we’re in B.C. now. When I first saw this house I was surprised at how big it is because it looks small on the outside and my room is way bigger than it used to be. There will be more about B.C. in my next post.

Bye for now,
Janae.

It's packing time!!!!!!

Hi again! Well, today I'm going to be giving you a crash course about packing. Packing is very cofusing. Everything is going to be a mess and out of place. Sometimes it can be annoying not to know what's in some of the boxes and what's still accessible and usable. Depending on when, where, and how soon you'll be moving, you might start packing long before you move or just 2 weeks before.

As you can see, packing is messy!

As I said before, moving is very cofusing.Your mom or dad (or whoever) will start getting lots and lots of boxes and you know what that means, its packing time! You might think "oh, no!" when I say that or, "yes, finally packing time!" I was an "oh, no" person, but after the first box was finished, which was all from my room, I was actually begging my parents to do another box with me! I also felt good about cleaning my room that day (that never happens!!!!!!)

Labels are important!

We're surrounded by boxes!

Christmas is quite different this year.

If you're wondering how to pack, it's easy: put some things into a box, level them out, make sure it's not too heavy, and finally tape it closed. There you have it, your first box packed.

Here's a funny story: One day my mom was talking to my youngest brother (Reuben) about moving, then he asked,"Whats going to happen to the boxes when we put them on the moving truck?" We all burst out laughing! Then my mom explained to him what was going to happen.

Boxes make great forts!!

And that is only a little bit of the information you might want to know about packing. I hope you're enjoying my blog so far, but anyway, if you ever have moved or will be moving, then you should know that its not as easy as it seems.

Good-bye for now,
Janae

The Journey Begins

Hi, I'm Janae. This is my special way of  keeping in touch with friends and family, as we move from Ontario to BC. Are you wondering why we are are moving across the country? Well it's a long story but here we go: a while ago our family received news that my Dad, Marcel, got a new job in Abbotsford, BC as a pastor in a church. Then one day, I came home from school and BAM!!! In the corner of our lawn a for sale sign was being hammered into the grass. Not even 45 min. later, someone called and asked if they could view our house! During the next 2 weeks we got about 20 more calls to view our house and then we finally got an offer! It was really hard to keep our house clean for all the showings. The people who put an offer on our house called and did a home inspection (ask your parents what that is). Then finally they bought our house! A sold sign went up the next day. So that is why we are moving to BC and the beginning of the journey. Thanks for reading. I look forward to sharing more with you in my next posts about all the exciting things that are happening. Bye!
